Kidnap and Ransom Insurance

A kidnap and ransom policy is an indemnity policy which means that they will reimburse the insured for any loss incurred. A kidnap and ransom policy will not come into effect until after the event, so if for example you were to be held to ransom, this would have to be paid first and then reimbursement under the policy would have to be sought. A kidnap and ransom policy will indemnify a person (or individuals) against the following types of losses:
